Hi! I’m Nellie.

Holistic health coach | Wellbeing Strategist | Founder

Like many, I came to embrace holistic health because of my own health challenges. As a teen, I struggled with depression, anxiety, and disordered eating. These early experiences with adversity prompted me to set out on a lifelong journey to heal and thrive holistically.

I made two unfortunate discoveries early on in my healing process. First, that our biomedical healthcare system is designed to deal with crisis and disease but has little to offer by way of preventative health, wellbeing, or meaningful recovery. And second, our societal institutions – specifically our educational and workplace systems – are likely to lead to mental health problems for most of us and stunted potential for human flourishing for almost all of us. In essence, our society is making us sick, burnt out, and often short on joy and fulfillment, and our healthcare system only helps when we experience illness.

Making these realizations, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life. I knew I needed to help disrupt the societal dynamics that are making us unwell and shine light on options and paths folks can take to feel better, both individually and as a community.

Cue: health coaching. After studying culture and societal systems for my undergraduate degree and holistic health in graduate school, I pursued health coach training at the Mayo Clinic. I then became a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (learn more about why this credential will set our work apart here).

I then began working as a health coach and later a health coach manager for one of world’s largest wellbeing solutions providers. I also served as a course developer and adjunct faculty at St. Catherine University where I taught the course Culture, Health, and Healing. After near a decade of gathering experience and coaching thousands of clients across various corporate sectors, I opened Haus of Ojas.

Haus of Ojas allows me to work with both individuals and organizations to make meaningful change centered on helping people feel well. It is my wholehearted belief that the more of us who feel good, the better we are able to dismantle systems that make us sick and co-create a culture of wellbeing for all.

I’m thrilled to do the work that I do and it is exactly how I want to contribute to this world. If we work together, you’ll see that my energy is grounded, direct, warm, and real. My clients and I have a lot of fun together and we do big work.

When I’m not transforming wellbeing culture, I can often be found experimenting in the kitchen. I’m a big believer in the power of cooking, sharing food, and gathering at the table. I’m also a forever traveler and have been known to take a variety of solo adventures around the globe. After being a long time local of Minneapolis, my partner and I moved to West Palm Beach, Florida in 2022.

Now that you know me a bit, I’d love to hear from you! Set up a free discovery call so that we can get to know each other and see if we’re a fit for the next step in you or your organization’s wellbeing journey.

In gratitude,
