Banana Walnut Pancakes
These pancakes are a family favorite. The recipe is based off of my elementary school music teacher’s recipe and I have yet to find a better one. Swap any add-ins you like, or stick to the original. It’s nostalgic food at its finest!
ingredients
- 1 cup flour 
- 1 tsp baking soda 
- 1 tsp baking powder 
- 1/4 tsp sea salt 
- 1 tbsp raw (turbinado) sugar 
- 1 egg 
- 2 cups buttermilk 
- 1 tbsp olive oil 
- 1 ripe banana, smashed 
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 
instructions
- Combine all ingredients except walnuts in a large bowl. 
- Cook on hot griddle (I use butter) and add walnuts when bubbles begin to form on batter surface. 
- Flip after a couple minutes, or once first side is golden. 
- Cook another couple minutes. 
- Serve immediately with your fav toppings.
