Papaya Banana Smoothie
Papaya is one of my favorite fruits. It’s only lightly sweet and has a cooling, anti-inflammatory effect on the body. Perfect for my Pitta dosha.
2 handfuls chopped, fresh papaya (about 1 cup)
1 frozen, chopped banana
1 tbsp coconut oil
Fresh persimmon slices, dried figs, dried blueberries, hemp seeds, and coconut flakes
Blend all ingredients in a high-power blender for about 1 minute
Check consistency and blend more as needed (adjust the amount of coconut milk to desired consistency)
Serve in a bowl and add desired toppings
Best in: Fall, Winter
Best for: Suitable to all doshas
You can change up the toppings per your taste, or what you have on hand. I provide ideas based on what I like, but smoothie recipes are highly customizable.
