Carrot Ginger Turmeric Smoothie
Carrot ginger is a classic flavor combination, but it’s usually found in soups and sauces. As a smoothie, however, it’s just as delicious.
2 handfuls (about 1 cup) steamed, or boiled, then cooled chopped carrots
Juice of 1 orange
1 tbsp coconut oil
1’’ peeled, chopped fresh ginger
1 tsp turmeric
Pomegranate seeds, pumpkin seeds, and more fresh orange slices
Blend all ingredients in a high-power blender for about 1 minute
Check consistency and blend more as needed (adjust the amount of coconut water to desired consistency)
Serve in a bowl and add desired toppings
Best in: Summer, Fall
Best for: Suitable to all doshas
You can change up the toppings per your taste, or what you have on hand. I provide ideas based on what I like, but smoothie recipes are highly customizable.
